May 17, 2008 Event

Here's your chance to meet collector Dan Ostroff in person! As many of you may know, Dan has been "Vintage Eames" on our website. Come with questions regarding your Eames furniture. Bring your chair, or detailed pictures of it. Authentication, dating, evaluation, history of your particular design, all included. Please note, we cannot give you valuation, nor repairs. We will have 15 minute appointments available.

Please contact roz@eamesoffice.com for a 15 minute meeting with Dan! Appointments start at 1:00pm with the last one starting at 4:45pm.

If you think you have an unusual example, please bring it in! You may be asked if we can include your Eames design on our website pages. Dan will also talk about the ways to distinguish one Eames vintage design from another.

Dan, with Eames Demetrios, wrote the book, MODERN CLASSIC, about the Eames fiberglass chairs. Copies will be for sale. Dan will sign the book, and if prompted, talk about the research that went into it. His primary focus is the online Catalogue Raisonne, a complete directory of all the Eames designs and all the iterations.

in honor of Charles Eames's centennial year.
June 17, 2008 Eames Stamps:
First Day of Issue Event 11am - 1pm


Tuesday, June 17th, is the First Date of Issue of a new pane of stamps by the United States Postal Service celebrating Eames designs. You can be there for the event which is slated to occur between 11-1 p.m. This event will be held at the Eames Office at 850 Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica.
